Growing up in the historical city of Sibiu (Hermannstadt) located in the Carpathian Mountains, Ana loved to work beside her mother learning all the secret recipes. Little did she know that she was learning the skills that were going to make her one of the best European pastry specialists. As the years went by, her passion for baking was growing.   She started being well-recognized by her friends and relatives in the ethnic community for making the most tasty and elegant pastries around.

In 2006 she and her family started Perla Homemade Delights which includes Nadia as the pierogie specialist. As a team, Ana and Nadia cover many recipes from all over Europe including original Polish, German, Romanian, Hungarian, and Ukrainian cooking and baking.
